Adieu Ghesquière !
Meant to post this a while ago, but alas! here it is, I'm a little nostalgic for Nicolas Ghesquiére's departure, he was such an innovative designer and gave Balenciaga a run for its money. I guess only time will tell if Alexander Wang can fill his shoes?

Mamáma - Givenchy Haute Couture
Hello All,
After a long absence due to being really busy (no excuse!) here's an illustration I did some time ago (Acrylic and color pencils on paper) It's a portrait of my beautiful great grandmother Elena Lecuna de Urdaneta a.k.a Mamáma, as in three times a mother, an outstanding mother that is. She is wearing that breath-taking swan dress from Givenchy Haute Couture-Spring 2011. I hope you enjoy it and believe the promise that I will be more diligent with posting art more often!

McQueen Painting - First Stages
This is a painting I've been working on for quite some time. I wanted to do something in the Flemish style with a twist, so I am using Alexander McQueen dresses. This is in one of the first stages where everything is in grey tones and needs to look like the figures are lit only by moonlight... I will start applying color soon! I'll keep you posted ;)
